A Rare English 19th C Juvenile Carousel Galloper Horse by Anderson of Bristol Circa 1890 No. 11

Originally made in the 19th Century carved from timber and hand-painted, this beautiful galloper horse has had sympathetic repairs, with the historic layers of paint up until the 20th century preserved. The model is attributed J.R. Anderson of Bristol and dates to the late 19th Century. The quality of the design and carving is one of the best. It is regarded as in original condition and has not been restored to a "as new" finish, damaged timber areas have been carefully repaired with matching wood and paint types to sympathetically match the historic finishes. The mount has been specially made recently to display the horses, which utilise reclaimed elements.
