Original quality 19th C cast iron Rainwater Hopper. An unusual example with a Jewish Star of David on the front below a sawtooth pattern. The manufacturer is stamped just above the downpipe connector but is unfortunately too worn to distinguish. To the sides the wing shaped flanges each have a bolt hole for mounting. The top lip has been damaged at some point in the past, but this does not appear to effect the useability of the item either as intended as a rainwater hopper or repurposed into a wall mounted planter or similar.
