An architectural reproduction model of the cupola from the former Britannia Barracks in Norwich.

The barracks, designed in the Norman Shaw architectural style, were constructed on Mousehold Heath to serve as the Royal Norfolk Regiment's depot from 1885 to 1887. Throughout the Second World War, the barracks functioned as an Initial Training Centre for new recruits. The Regiment occupied the barracks until its merger with the Suffolk Regiment to create the 1st East Anglian Regiment in 1959. Today, most of the structures remain intact as components of Norwich Prison.

The original cupola was removed in the late 20th C and now plays a key part in our business, being the icon in our logo.
